The Bedford boys cross country team placed 17th in a field of 36 at the premier Portage Invitational today.
Senior Noah Scheffer led the way, finishing 58th overall. Seniors Colin Chevalier and Jake Reaume finished 107th and 108th, followed by freshman Collin Balla, who posted a personal best time of 17:39. Senior Ethan Chevalier closed out the scoring for the Mules.
The junior varsity team placed 9th out of 26 teams. Junior Austin DePue medaled in the race, finishing 48th overall. Bedford hosts the Monroe County Championship race on Tuesday afternoon at Indian Creek Park.
