Boys Varsity XC slides past Monroe HS School

Saturday, the boys cross country team hosted Monroe in the first home event of the season for Bedford Athletics. This return to a semblance of normalcy saw two equally matched squads competing in a hotly contested event.

Bedford won the meet by a score of 27-29. Leading the way for the Mules was junior Alex Ortiz (17:37), who placed second behind Monroe's Luke Butler (17:20). Fellow junior Colin Balla was close behind in 3rd (17:46), followed by senior Aidan Burns in 5th (18:13) and sophomore Josh Gagne (6th in 18:41). Rounding out the scoring for the Mules was junior Preston Ulery in 11th place (19:29).
Bedford will host again next week against Whitmer at Indian Creek Park.
