The Bedford boys cross country team placed 9th at the Chet Sullwood Invitational at Ottawa Park in Toledo on Saturday. The Mules were led by senior Alex Ortiz, who placed 5th overall in a strong performance. Other great performances in the varsity race brought personal records for freshman Nick Balla, sophomore Gabe Bock, freshman Aiden DePue, and junior Anthony Kruszka.
The JV team took 7th at the invitational, with freshmen Jonas Enriquez and Eli Hinkleman both posting personal bests. In the open race, sophomore Braiden Welch also turned in a personal best.
The Mules travel to Jackson this weekend for the Jackson Invitational.
