The Bedford boys cross country team placed 5th in SEC Jamboree 2, held on September 28 at Munson Park in Monroe, edging out the host Monroe team by one point.
Strong performances were delivered by seniors Alex Ortiz (18th overall) and Collin Balla (26th), as well as junior Josh Gagne (39th). Rounding out the scoring for the Mules were sophomore Gabe Bock (43rd) and senior Preston Ulery (45th).
In the JV race, senior Ryan Prielipp (23rd) led the way for Bedford, followed closely by fellow senior Grant Yeager (25th). Jake Suplica finished with a lifetime best in the race.
The Mules travel to Lake Erie Metropark in Brownstown for the Marauder Invitational on Saturday, October 2.
