On Saturday, the Bedford boys cross country team ran in the Jackson Invitational at Ella Sharp Park in Jackson, Michigan.
The Mules placed 19th in a field that included many of the top teams in the state this year, keeping a tight pack of runners that finished only 29 seconds apart from their 1st through 5th runners. Cool temperatures led to hot times, as every runner ran a personal best time. Sophomore Aidan Ortiz led the Mules clocking a 17:26, followed by junior Gabe Bock (17:34), sophomore Jordan Bunce (17:42), sophomore Nick Balla (17:42), and freshman Dan Hieronimus (17:55). Freshman Gage Bihn (18:24) and sophomore Jake Yeager (18:36) also gave solid performances on the day.
They Mules will be at Ann Arbor Pioneer on Wednesday, competing in the second SEC Jamboree.
