The Bedford boys cross country team placed 4th out of the 11 teams competing in the D1 Division of the Marauder Invitational today, which was held at Lake Erie Metropark in Brownstown. Leading the Mules was sophomore Aidan Ortiz, who finished 17th overall in a time of 17:33. Sophomores Nick Balla (19th in 17:37), Jordan Bunce (22nd in 17:40), Jake Yeager (26th in 17:53), and Braxon Lake (32nd in 18:07) all posted personal bests in the race. Junior Gabe Bock (25th in 17:50) rounded out the scoring for the Mules. 

In the freshman race, Gage Bihn placed 2nd overall (18:27) after leading for the majority of the race. Fellow freshmen Nolan Brescol (7th in 19:37), D'Angelo Lucarelli (9th in 19:49), and Anthony Kraus (11th in 20:18) ran personal bests in the race. 

In the JV race, sophomores Kaleb Dekoeyer (14th in 18:35) Maceo Colon (15th in 18:45), and Eli Hinkleman (19th in 19:08) finished with personal bests, as did junior Jack Durivage (16th in 18:50), leading the Mules squad to a 3rd place finish. 

The Mules will compete next at the Dave Bork Classic in Monroe on October 15.
