This weekend Bedford swim and dive competed in a Socially Distanced SEC meet. In fact, the meet was divided into two meets and then the results were combined. In many cases, the set up was not favorable for the best competition for Bedford, but we made lemonade out of the lemons and still ended the meet with 1 SEC champion - Senior Ian Metter in the 50 Free and a SEC Runner up, Senior Thomas Zoldowski in the 100 Backstroke. 

As a whole, the team swam great!. We had 80% best times for the season, and we acquired another individual state qualifier when Ethan Tennant posted a state cut in the 200 IM and finished 8th overall in the event. Sophomore, Austin Clise qualified for Diving Regionals with his 5th place finish and a personal best score of 330.95.
Some Individual Highlights -
Robert Richter dropped over 1 minute in his 500 Freestyle!
Dylan Horak dropped 10 seconds in the 500 Free.
Cody Gray had personal bests in both the 200 Free and 100 Backstroke
Logan Williams- had big drops in the 100 Free and 100 Breastroke as well as his 50 Relay split. 
Mason Olvera, Alex Ortiz, and Zach Wise all had best times in the 50 and 100 Freestyles. 

The final meet for the team will be next Saturday at Milan for a very competitive SMISL Championships. 
State Meet will be at Jenison High School on the 26/27th.
