Girls Swimming stays hot with win over Dundee Community

The Bedford Lady Mules headed North, led by captains Rachel Staley and Alexis Noller, to take on the Dundee Vikings last night and came home with a win of 125-60.

The meet began with Bedford taking 1st and 2nd in the 200 medley relay. The winning relay consisted of senior Lauren Sullivan, freshman Kendal Schreder, senior Nanna Sonne and sophomore Audrey Turner. In second was the relay of senior Meegan Smith, junior Allison Steffin, senior Laiya Scheffer and senior Gretchen Metter.

Other notable wins from the Mules include junior Maureen Lingle in the 200 freestyle, Schreder in the 200 IM, Sullivan in the 50 freestyle, senior Rachel Staley in 1 meter diving, Lingle in the 100 butterfly, Sullivan in the 100 freestyle, Smith in the 100 backstroke and Steffin in the 100 breaststroke. The Mules finished out the meet with a victory in the 400 freestyle relay with Sullivan, Steffin, Lingle and Sonne in a time of 3:54.22, narrowly missing the Dundee pool record.

The Mules are back in action this Thursday at home against Tecumseh.
