The girls' swim team traveled to Ypsilanti last Thursday, September 13th, to take on Jackson and Lincoln High School in a triple dual meet. The Kicking Mules came out victorious over Lincoln with a score of 111-72 but fell to Jackson with a score of 60-121.

Bedford placed second in the 200 medley relay with Sydney Fuleky, Tina Freel, Kaylin Eighmey, and Emmalee Horak. Fuleky placed 2nd in the 200 Freestyle, and brought home Bedford's only victory in the 100 backstroke, also qualifying for the MISCA meet. This is Bedford's first qualification for this meet during the 2018 swim season. Horak placed second in the 200 Individual Medley. Tristan Nieman tied for 4th in the 50 freestyle, and Horak brought home 3rd in the 100 butterfly. Freel placed second in the 100 freestyle and freshman Jennifer Dobson was 3rd for the Mules in the 500 freestyle. The 200 freestyle relay team of Jenna Almomar, Jennifer Dobson, Horak, and Nieman placed second. Freel was runner-up in the 100 breaststroke and the Mules finished the meet off strong with a 2nd place finish in the 400 freestyle relay with the team of Almomar, Eighmey, Freel, and Fuleky.

The Mules face the Ann Arbor Huron River Rats next week on Tuesday, September 25th.
