Girls Varsity Swimming hang with but lose to Skyline HS

Game Date
Oct 1, 2020
Score
MULES: 68
SKYLINE HS: 118.00

The Bedford Girls Swim and Dive had a great night of competition on Thursday night with Skyline. The Mules were defeated by the Eagles 118-68,  but the Mules came home with some wins and many personal bests.

Sophomore Ava Bell- Is the first State Qualifier for the Mules as she won the 200 IM  with a time of 2:17. She also went on to win the 100 Butterfly with a new personal best of 1:02 as she nears that state cut too.

Other highlights of the night were:
Hannah Smith- 1st in the 200 Free with her first individual MISCA cut.
Alexa Fuleky- 1st in the 100 Backstroke and 2nd in the 50 Free with a new PR of 26.25, just shy of Misca cut.
The 400 Free Relay of Gabby Pisanti, Ava Bell, Alexa Fuleky and Hannah Smith  had a big win in the 400 Free Relay and had a season best.

Other shout outs go to Ryan Lozinski for Personal bests in the 200 Free and 400 Free, Gracie Ahl for PR in 200 IM, Kadyn Williams PR in both 50 Free and 100 Breaststroke, Gabby Pisanti had a best in the 50 Free, Macy DeGrace had a solid 500 debut,  and Jaime Santiago had her best score in Diving.  Diver Libby Boisselle joined the swimmers in two relays tonight to assist the team and gracefully, pulled a new dive in the middle of competition due to a dive list malfunction.

All the girls did a great job competing with no fans in the stands and swimming tired. If we learn to swim tired, we will swim really fast rested!  Very proud of how the girls did.
