Boys:
The Bedford boys JH cross country team won the Monroe Milers Invitational in Monroe on Saturday by crushing the competition.
They were once again led by All-World runner Ty Smith who won the race and ran a personal best time. Micah Scheffer was 3rd overall. Jack Miller, Preston Manard and Parker Marsh all ran great races to place in the top 10. Thomas Zoldowski, Alex Birmingham, Jack Harrison, Preston Ulery, Grant Yeager, Damien Robinson, Noah Hall, Spencer Lingle, Isaiah McGee, Josh Schaffer, Zach Ingalls, Colby Reaume and Sam Travis all ran season best times to help the team to the victory. Great job guys.
The boys have the 3rd and final SEC league meet on Wednesday. This meet will determine the league champion between Bedford and Saline. Wish the boys luck!
Girls:
The cross country girls had a dominate win at the Monroe Milers Invitational Saturday placing first among twelve teams. Keeping with that trend, Molly Koviack finished first overall among all runners with a personal record. Also scoring for Bedford were Maddy Heinrichs, Macy Miscikowski, Anna Sutterfield, and Alex Knapp. Our team had 14 PR’s with significant showings from Haley Graham, Caia Albain, Addison Nowak, and Carley Kish. Leah Driehorst shrugged off a nagging injury and managed to PR in her first race back while Anna Sutterfield’s PR streak continues at 4. Our team has a chance to go undefeated in the SEC conference with a win tomorrow. Best of luck ladies. Congratulations to all of our runners
