JH ladies win, for the first time, Mega Jamboree on Saturday

The girls cross country team won at the Mega Jamboree on Saturday. This race features some off the best runners in the state of Michigan. Their 17 point win was decisive, earning them the perfect ending to an already outstanding season. Our varsity team was Bekah Asselin, Ally Betkey, Sydney Dec, Ava Rickner, Emma Bushroe, Katelyn Dec, Brooklyn Manard, Sam Sexton, Mya Orner, and Zita Lucarelli. Bekah, Ally, Sydney, and Ava finished in the top twenty out of 143 runners.
This is the first time the girls cross country team has won the Mega Jamboree. Also competing in the open race were Ilana Ravindra, Izzy Loubser, Adrianna Kester, Mia Garcia, Sarah Driehorst, and Sidney Davis. Even though they were running without a full 7 person team and competing against wind and rain, they still placed fourth out of 11 and had five personal bests. Congratulations runners. You did an amazing job.
