The season opener took us back to Trenton's arena for a game against Riverview. Bedford scored first on a goal by Joey Nagle, then Riverview scored twice to finish the first period up 2-1. Nagle scored the only goal of the second period while the Mules were killing a penalty, and he almost scored again during the same penalty. The third period belonged to Bedford as Darren Common scored a natural hat trick to put the Mules up 5-2, then Jacob Nelson added an empty-net goal for the 6-2 final.
