On paper St. John's looked like the better team. On the ice St. John's outshot Bedford 28-18. But on the scoreboard it was Bedford 3, St. John's 1. Goalkeeper Garrett Gueldenzoph turned in a stellar performance to lead the Mule victory. Lukas Stevens gave Bedford the early lead on a power play goal, then the Titans made it 1-1 on their own power play goal early in the second period. Cole Mason put Bedford ahead with just under two minutes remaining in the second period. St. John's controlled much of the third period but could not find the back of the net. However, Jimmy Fuleky did on an empty net goal with just 9 seconds left in the game.
