After an ominous start with Grosse Ile scoring 50 seconds into the game, the Mules eventually took charge and emerged with a hard fought 5-2 win. Joey Nagle tied it early in the second period, then Gabe Regalado put Bedford ahead on a shorthanded goal late in the period.
The Red Devils tied the game at 2-2 three minutes into the third period, but it was all Bedford after that. Darren Common scored the game winner three minutes later, followed by another Regalado goal and a power play Nagle goal to close it out. Goalkeeper Garrett Gueldenzoph had a strong performance, turning back 34 of 36 Grosse Ile shots.
