For the second game in a row Bedford fell behind by three goals in the first period. Goals by Colin Dirkmaat and Joey Nagle in the second period made it a 3-2 game going into the final frame as the Mules started to take charge. End to end play kept the fans of both teams on their feet throughout the third period. The outcome was sealed when Chelsea scored an empty net goal in the final minute of play.
