Congrats to the Bedford Varsity Swim and Dive team as they finished a close second to Milan High School in the Monroe County Championships. The meet was close from beginning to end, with the Mules leading midway through. This was a true team effort. Our goal was third this year, and we were thrilled to surpass that and give Milan a run for their money.
Top finishers were:
Zoe Dusseau 2nd in Dive
Samantha Smith 3rd in the 100 Fly
Lilly Landolt 3rd in the 100 free
Peyton Prielipp 3rd in the 100 Backstroke.
Our A and B relays also had strong performances.
The girls showed excellent depth as a team throughout the meet.
We had many personal bests along the way.
Lily Johnson had an outstanding meet, dropping a lot of time and earning her Varsity Qualification times.
Camille Hansen also had huge improvements during the meet.

Bedford hosted Saline on Thursday for our first dual meet of the season. Bedford Lost 62-123, but had a very good showing. Many swimmers were within reach of their personal bests and can see improvement within their
Freshman Samantha Smith pulled off a Birthday win in the 100 Butterfly. Senior Mia Tennant finished 2nd.
Sophomore Peyton Prielipp tasted victory in the 100 Backstroke as she had 4 second lead on the next swimmer. Peyton also swam a personal best in the 100 freestyle at this meet.
Junior Zoe Dusseau had a personal best in her diving event, increasing her degrees of difficulty and her final scores by 2 points.
Sophomore Taylor Sadoski had a 16 second improvement in her 500 freestyle and now has new goals for later on in the season.
Freshmen Camille Hansen. Lily Johnson, and Jasmine Philbeck had time drops in all of their events for the night.
It was just a great night all around for our debut dual meet. Great job team.
Congrats to the Bedford Varsity Swim and Dive team. They had a fun competitive relay meet this weekend at Adrian against Adrian, Tecumseh, Notre Dame Prep and Detroit Country Day.
Bedford finished as a very close Runner up to Adrian.
It was a great way to start off our season.
Our 4 x 50 kicking relay was thankful for our kicking sets in practice as they finished first.
