DEARBORN FORDSON: 37
Bedford hosted Dearborn Fordson in their opener at Bedford Community Stadium Wednesday evening. Dearborn to an early lead and kept the momentum going holding off the Mules to take a 37-20 win on the road. Bedford kept fighting back but the Fordson offense was too much for the Mules.
The Mules could not overcome early turnovers and penalties and lost to a talented Fordson squad 37 to 20. Joey Shepherd and Luke Beadle were standouts on the defensive side of the ball. Gavin Floyd caught a TD pass from David Jeffers and Jeffers also completed the 2 point conversion to Shepherd. The team played a much more inspired second half as Brady Nowak and Luke Beadle added TD runs. Freshman Bryce Krimmel added two PATs.
The next game for Bedford will be Sept 4, hosting Fenton.
