What a fantastic way for the Lady Mules Swim and Dive Team to start their 2014 season!! The SMISL Relay Championship title and honor has returned to Bedford!! The Lady Mules had previously held the title from 2008- 2012.
We started in second place after Friday night’s diving competition. The Lady Mules moved into 1st place after the 200 Medley Relay Saturday and never let go of their lead. The 200 Medley Relay Team, with an official time of 1:59.11, has a MISCA Cut (for our parents: the time displayed at the meet on the results wall was the back-up time. The timing system did not work and the back-up button was hit briefly after the start of the race – thus the difference in the time we saw displayed and the official time for the race. Unfortunately for our relay team, we were just short of a State Cut).
Other Lady Mules swimming and diving strong for the team today were:
Rachel Staley, Laiya Scheffer, Heidi Funkhouser, Alyse Geiger, Gretchen Metter, Amy Cook, Courtney Jagielski, Katie Rupert, Ellie Easton, Shelbey Carr, Katie Dunnett and Liz Versteeg.
Congratulations Lady Mules on a GREAT start to your season!! Excellent Team Effort!
Next Meet: Thursday September 18th at Chelsea
