Freshman traveled to St Clair Shores

Mules Lose: 20 - 36
The 9th grade football team traveled to Saint Clair Shores Lakeshore High School last night for their 7th game of the season. The young men again played to the best of their ability but came up short of winning 36-20.
The offense moved the ball up and down the field all night but could only score 3 times. Kade Carnicom and Austin Malabanan followed the blocking of Griffin Geiger, Alex Salzmann, Chad Ohneck, Blake Wingate, Romeo Ybarra, and Jackson Harris successfully. Kyle Hennessey led the receiving.
The BIG play has been the defense's downfall all season and it proved, once again, to be trouble with a capital T for the young Mules last night. The Mules time and again would stop the Shorians and force long 3rd down plays only to have them break off for long runs in the second half for TD's. Wade Johnson and Donivan Baker led the linebackers and Connor Frantz and Anthony Pisanti led the secondary in tackling.
Great effort as usual by this team. Our record now stands at 3-4 as Saline comes to town for the last game.
