Varsity golf wins Monroe Invitational at Sandy Creek

The Bedford girls golf team won the Monroe Invitational at Sandy Creek yesterday, defeating Monroe, Saline, and Trenton.
The girls finished with a team total of 381.
Emma Mulder was medalist shooting an 88.
Madison Shalhoup was 2nd with her lowest score of the season, 89
Lauren Csurgo was third after shooting a 95
Morgan Decker finished with a 109.
Julianna Vogel carded a 120 and Shelby Sivils finished with a 144
The girls will next compete at Regionals being held at Travis Pointe Country Club, Ann Arbor, on October 11.

Mules Lose: 0 - 0
The Bedford girls golf team won the Monroe County Championship shooting a team total 371, defeating Airport by 3 strokes, at Green Meadows in Monroe.
Emma Mulder was named first team All-county shooting an 81 on the day to finish second overall.
Lauren Csurgo, score of 95, and Madison Shalhoup, score of 96, were named 2nd team All-county, finishing 6th and 10th respectively.
Sami Hoogendoorn rounded out the scoring with a 99 on the day, finishing 14th overall.
This ended a 6 year drought of winning the Monroe County Championship.

Mules Lose: 0 - 0
The Bedford Girls golf team finished their SEC season on Monday at the SEC Championship held at Eagle Crest in Ypsilanti.
The team finished in 4th place in the RED division with a 9 - 4 record for the year. The girls shot a team total 401 to finish 6th at the tournament.
Emma Mulder finished 8th overall for the day and came in first place in match points won in the SEC red with 184.5. This capped Emma's season as she was the low scorer for almost all of the SEC matches.

Sami Hoogendoorn finished the year in 9th place with 137.5 match points won.
Madison Shalhoup finished in 19th place with 104 points.
Lauren Csurgo finished 20th with 94 points. Lauren's season was cut short as she missed the last two matches with an injury.
Sophomore Morgan Decker finished the season with 85 points to come in 25th place in the Red division.
The girls will next prepare for the Monroe County Championship and Regionals to finish off their season.

The Bedford girls golf team got the week off to a great start by defeating Monroe and AA Huron at the Legacy Monday with a team total of 196.
Emma Mulder was medalist for the day shooting a 44
Madison Shalhoup had a 48 on the day.
Lauren Csurgo carded a 51
Sami Hoogendoorn finished with a 53.
And Morgan Decker had a 58.
Julianna Vogel finished with a 52 in the JV match and Shelby Sivils had a 68.

Mules Win: 3 - 0
The Bedford Girls golf team defeated AA Skyline, Adrian, and Jackson yesterday as the team finished with a total of 192 to beat Skyline by one shot. Emma Mulder was medalist on the day as she chipped in for birdie, not once, but twice to finish with a 40.
Lauren Csurgo finished with a 48.
Sami Hoogendoorn had a 50.
Morgan Decker carded a 54
Madison Shalhoup finished with a 58.

The Bedford Girls golf team lost a close one to Chelsea and Pinckney yesterday as the Lady Mules finished with a team total of 199.

Emma Mulder led the way as she took medalist honors with a low score of 44 at Inverness club in Chelsea.
Sami Hoogendoorn carded a 49.
Lauren Csurgo finished with a 50.
Madison Shalhoup had a 56 and Morgan Decker finished with a 57.
Julianna Vogel led the JV girls with a 60.
The varsity will next compete today against Adrian, Skyline, and Huron at Lenawee Country Club in Adrian.

Emma Mulder finished in the top 5 carding a 98 on a windy rainy afternoon.

Morgan Decker finished with 106
Lauren Csurgo had a 107 and Madison Shalhoup finished with a 117.
The Lady Mules will next take on Chelsea and Pinckney tomorrow at 3 pm.

The Bedford Girls golf team lost a close match on Thursday (8/30) to Saline, 202-197.
Emma Mulder led the Lady Mules with a 45; Lauren Csurgo shot a 54; Morgan Decker 55; Sami Hoogendoorn 48; Madison Shalhoup 57.
In the JV match, Julianna Vogel led the JV team with 54; Kyiersten Sadowski 64; Shelby Sivils 69; and Josie Campbell 62.

The Bedford girls golf team finished third at the Madison High School Girls golf invite with a team total of 269.
Emma Mulder finished with an 89 to capture third place overall.
Lauren Csurgo had a 94 to finish sixth.
The Scramble team of Morgan Decker and Shelby Sivils finished with an 86 and the scramble team of Sami Hoogendoorn and Madison Shalhoup scored a 95.
The Lady Kicking Mules will next compete in the Salem invitational on Monday.

The Bedford girls golf team got their season off to a good start yesterday by defeating Dexter and Tecumseh at Hantz Golf Club in Tecumseh.
Emma Mulder led the Lady Mules with a 44.

The Mules had a team total of 197. Dexter totaled 215 while Tecumseh finished with a 217.
The Lady Mules will next play in the Madison Invite on 8/25.

The Bedford girls golf team finished third at the Tecumseh invite on Monday with a team total of 408.
Emma Mulder finished third overall with a score of 88.
Lauren Csurgo carded a 102
Morgan Decker finished with a 105
Sami Hoogendoorn had a 113 and Madison Shalhoup finished with a 120.
Emma Mulder made the All-Tournament Team with a score of 88, finishing 3rd overall. Go Mules!!!
