BEDFORD FOOTBALL PLAYER HONORED BY NATIONAL FOOTBALL FOUNDATION

Jake Burton, a senior, has been selected the National Football Foundation, Football Officials Association, and Mercy Health Unsung Hero of the week.

This award recognizes senior football players who play a vital role on their team but receive limited recognition for their crucial contributions. The weekly winner receives a plaque, media coverage, and is entered to win a scholarship.

Jake was nominated by his coach because he performs consistently at a high level on the field and in the weight room.  He demonstrates leadership through his actions. He is a mentor to younger players and can be found “coaching them up” throughout practices.

Congratulations to Jake on his award. He is an asset to our football program and our Bedford Family.
