Bedford boys tennis traveled to Ypsilanti Lincoln for a new regional Wed 10/9, and just missed qualifying for states for the third year in a row by 1 point.
Bedford came in fourth with 15 pts behind South Lyon with 16. North Farmington took first followed by South Lyon East in second. Bedford captured 2 regional flight championships on the day. 1 doubles Carter Ryan and Taylor Burgermeister, seeded first going into tournament, won all 3 matches in straight sets to end their record breaking careers with a regional championship to add to their accomplishments. 4 doubles Malakai Gorzyca and Kyle Burger, seeded 2nd going into tournament, won their 3 matches also in straight sets to end a great season by winning their flight as well.
The whole team played great at regional to set the tone for a very good future of the program that is ready to take the next step forward.
