Boys Varsity Track & Filed take 3rd in SEC RED championship

The Bedford boys track team took 3rd in the SEC Red division championship on Thursday. They were led by Brendan McClanahan who ran a career best time of 1:58.53 to take 2nd in the 800m. Riley Heuker took 2nd in the high jump with a jump of 5'11". Charles Hilsenbeck took 5th in the 200m and 400m. His 200m time of 23.07 was a personal best and ranks him in the top 10 all time for Bedford track. Andrew Farren scored points in both the 110 hurdles and 300 hurdles. Great efforts were turned in by freshman Elijah Flood in the high jump with a personal best jump of 5'5" to take 8th, and Tony Bomia took 10 seconds off his best time to run 10:35 in the 3200m run. Great job boys track on a successful SEC season. Now on to Regionals next Friday.
